Aloha & Welcome!
I initially realized my passion for photography while attending Los Gatos High School in the Bay Area, and that passion led me to continue my studies at CSU Long Beach, where I received a BA in Studio Art (emphasis in Photography) and a minor in Business Entrepreneurship. During and after college, I worked with two amazing Los Angeles & Orange County based wedding photographers. I am so thankful for their guidance and training, as it has helped shape me into the photographer that I am today. I have been a wedding & portrait photographer for 10 years, and I can't imagine a more rewarding career for myself! I moved to Maui in October 2012, and absolutely love calling this magical island my new home.
I love photographing and meeting new people! Connecting with my clients and capturing photos of them when they look and feel their absolute best is a job that I am extremely privileged to have...and I don't take my job lightly! A lot of love, sweat, and tears are put into editing each of my wonderful clients' weddings, and for this reason, I accept only a limited number of weddings per month. This allows me to offer the highest quality work to each and every one of my clients.
I would describe my posing style as timeless, fun, romantic, and happy and I would describe my work style as easy-going and friendly, but also direct and attentive. Making my clients feel comfortable in front of the camera is very important to me, so while capturing the more posed photos on the wedding day, I give plenty of direction to the bride & groom to achieve the ideal amount of natural, romantic, and lighthearted photos of the two of them, but then step back and allow for plenty of candid moments throughout the day as well. I love the flattering look and feel of natural & available light throughout the wedding day, so I only use a flash while capturing a few sunset photos and during nighttime receptions. I love working with clients who share a love of photography and who are up for anything that might be new and/or different!
Mahalo and I look forward to hearing from you! :)
Thank you so much!
